Circa Early 2000's
Designed to convert separate audio and video (A/V) signals into VHF TV signals that can be viewed on a TV set with an RF coaxial input (typically Channel 3 or 4). This allows you to connect A/V components like DVD players, gaming consoles, camcorders, or satellite receivers to older televisions that lack composite video inputs.
- Setting up and operating the RF Modulator involves connecting AV cables from your source component to the modulator's inputs.
- If you have an existing RF source, it connects to the ANT IN jack on the modulator, and a separate coaxial cable connects the modulator's TO TV jack to your TV's RF input. If there's no existing RF source, connect the modulator's TO TV jack directly to your TV's RF input.
- If the television does not have a coaxial (F-Pin) RF input, the coaxial connection coming from the converter can be connected via a coaxial (Female F-Pin) to antenna lugs adaptor.
- After powering on the modulator, tune your TV to either Channel 3 or 4, selecting a channel not used for regular broadcasts, and set the modulator's CHANNEL 3/4 switch to match.
- Finally, turn on your connected AV component to view its output on the selected channel.
