Project Breakdown

The design of this prop is a stylized depiction of a real military hardware
Picture
Carefully selected found-objects—sourced from shop stock and vendors—formed the core of this build. Authenticity was paramount, with components like the objective lens, weatherproof LCD finder, and laser optics receiving special attention. The laser optics for example, were multicoated by a local lab to achieve the signature blue-violet reflection of the genuine gear.

Because it would be eventually mounted to a simulated, gas-fired grenade launcher provided by another vendor, the prop was engineered for the structural integrity and durability that would needed to endure mechanical shock and rough handling.

Production positively embraced the project.  Unfortunately however, most scenes featuring the prop were cut from the A-TEAM's final theatrical release. Still, it appears briefly in the background—and lives on.

It's presently available for rent through FELCAN ENTERPRISES (complete with launcher).
