Description

Circa Late 1980's to Early 2000's

Designed to provide a stable, vertically adjustable platform.

Use Cases:

  • Indicator Holders: Frequently used to hold a dial test indicator (DTI) or an electronic probe. The stand provides the stable vertical position, while the attached indicator performs the actual comparative measurement or checks for surface flatness and parallelism.

  • Transfer Stands: In metrology labs, it can act as a "transfer" mechanism. A metrologist sets the stand to a specific height using gauge blocks and then "transfers" that precise height to a workpiece to check for deviations.

  • Scribing and Layout: Even without a scale, it can be locked at a set height to use a carbide-tipped scriber for marking precise layout lines across multiple identical parts.

  • Optical and Laser Mounting: The twin-beam design offers high vibration resistance, making them suitable for mounting lasers, sensors, or optical elements that need to be held at a precise, repeatable elevation during testing.

  • Force Testing: Stands of this design are sometimes integrated into manual force test systems, where they hold a force gauge to apply consistent tension or compression to a sample.

NOTE: 2-Units available.
