Description
Circa 1977
A classic travel razor designed by Roland Ullmann and was first introduced in 1977.
Features:
- Dual Power: This version can be used corded (plugged directly into a wall outlet) or cordless via its internal rechargeable batteries.
- Charging Base: The black cradle included acts as a convenient dock that both holds the shaver and connects it to the power cord for recharging.
- Voltage: Manual or automatic slide switch on the plug to toggle between 110/120V and 220/240V, making it a versatile international travel kit.
Foil & Cutter: Compatible with the BRAUN 543 (or 260) series foil and cutter blocks. These were also used in the Intercity and Micron models.
Initial Charging:
- Activation: Before the first cordless use, plug the power cord into the wall and connect it to the charging dock.
- First Charge: For new or long-dormant units, a continuous charge of 4 to 10 hours is typically recommended to "condition" the internal Ni-Cd batteries.
- Charge Indicator: A small light on the chargerr base will stay on while charging.
Included Accessories:
- Charging Cradle.
- Power Cord.
- Cleaning Brush.
NOTE: Because this is a vintage device from 1977, the original internal Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries may no longer hold a full charge. It is possible to open the unit and solder in new 1.2V Ni-Cd or Ni-MH cells to restore cordless functionality.
