Use Case
An early Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) designed for professionals to manage various aspects of their work and personal lives digitally. Its use cases included:
- Contact Management: Storing names, phone numbers, and addresses in the "Telephone" and "Busi Card" libraries, featuring search functions to easily retrieve data.
- Scheduling and Time Management: Organizing appointments, setting alarms for important dates (holidays, anniversaries, birthdays), viewing a full calendar, and tracking both home and world time zones.
- Notes and Memos: Storing miscellaneous notes and private information using a "Secret Function" secured by a password.
- Data Management: The device had data communication capabilities, allowing it to link with other SF-8000 units or connect to an IBM PC/AT personal computer or printer via a link cable.
- Basic Productivity: Included a built-in calculator function
