Simulated Operation:
- The large rectangular LED located on the top/front of the unit is normally illuminated—signifying that the device is ready for use.
- Scanner eyepiece is normally retracted into a recess in the front panel. To begin the "scanning process" the user" pivots the eyepiece unit toward their favored eye. This will reveal a continuous soft green-glow from the eyepiece.
- Individual remote control of each of the 4 LED status indicators is provided via the included cabled remote control unit (it also powers the unit via internal alkaline batteries). These LEDs can be sequentially illuminated to signify the start and completion of the simulated scanning process.
- Upon completion of the simulated scanning process, the remote operator can activate the backlit "APPROVED" caption—signifying "access is granted".
