Description
Circa Late 1900's - Early 2000's
Features:
Designed to provide self-contained, simulated, wireless operation. Device status is chosen by the off-camera operator with the illumination of 1 of 2 large LED's via the included RF remote control:
- RED—Locked (default mode).
- GREEN—Unlocked.
Includes a novel "Electronic Key" that upon insertion, illuminates a centre placed
BLUE LED indicator. This LED can be manually set to be continuously "ON" should the key not be chosen for use.
Design Theory:
Unit utilizes a built-in RFID reader for proximity-based identification, a numeric keypad for PIN entry, and a unique physical electronic key. This key, characterized by a thin double-sided circuit board with 120 gold contact-pads, engages with the unit upon insertion. This feature is part of a dynamic security mechanism. With each use, the accepted passcode is automatically changed, encrypted, and uploaded to the key's internal memory, preparing it for subsequent use.
Suitable Use Cases:
- Sensitive Government and Military Facilities: Securing access to classified areas, server rooms, weapons storage, or restricted zones where national security is paramount.
- Research and Development Laboratories: Protecting proprietary research, sensitive equipment, and intellectual property within R&D facilities, especially those handling confidential or valuable data.
- Data Centers and Server Rooms: Restricting entry to server racks, network equipment, and critical infrastructure to authorized IT personnel, preventing data breaches and system tampering.
- Financial Institutions: Securing vaults, trading floors, and sensitive data processing areas in banks, ensuring compliance with strict security regulations.
- Industrial Facilities with Hazardous Materials: Controlling access to areas containing dangerous chemicals, high-value assets, or machinery requiring specialized training to operate safely.
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Storage: Limiting access to drug storage, production lines, and quality control areas to prevent contamination, theft, and ensure regulatory compliance.
