Description
Circa Late 1980's to Early 1990's (ESTIMATED)
A custom manufactured movie prop featuring simulated functionality.
Designed to depict a covert, single-shot assassination weapon disguised as a professional B4-mount ENG (Electronic News Gathering) lens. Notionally, it would be mounted to a real ENG camera—allowing an operative to infiltrate a press scrum as a news camera operator.
- Single Cartridge Receiver: The servo unit section of the lens features a side-loading breach that opens when the "zoom control" rocker-switch is operated. the This allows for the rapid reloading of a single projectile.
- Repurposed Controls: In the context of a fictional narrative, the standard buttons used for video recording or focus are positioned to serve as the trigger and safety mechanisms.
- Compatibility: Will attach to any ENG camera that incorporates a B4-mount.
NOTE: The simulated gun barrel was originally made silver to make it more visible to camera. The attachment of a common threaded ND filter is recommended to make this feature more subtle—or alternately—simply paint the barrel black.
