Description

Circa Late 1990's to Early 2000's

A core component in building fire safety systems, processing signals from detection devices.

Use Case:

Designed for small to medium-sized commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. It serves as the "brain" of the fire alarm system, processing inputs from conventional devices like smoke detectors, heat sensors, manual pull stations, and waterflow devices. Upon receiving a signal, it activates notification appliance circuits (NACs) for horns and strobes and communicates the alarm to a central monitoring station via a built-in digital alarm communicator/transmitter (DACT).
