Use Case:
Device used to facilitate wireless printing from laptops and PCs with IrDA (Infrared Data Association) ports to standard parallel (LPT) printers. Laptops with IrDA ports were common in the late 1990s.
The device acts as a print server using the IrCOMM protocol to emulate a serial or parallel port over infrared, allowing for a seamless connection.
