Use Case
Three-piece system for electronic funds transfer at the point of sale (EFTPOS), enabling merchants to process credit and debit card payments.
IVI-V2000 Central Terminal: This main unit was the "head" of the system. The merchant would key in the sale amount, process the customer's card (incorporating a magnetic stripe), and initiate the transaction with the payment processor over a phone line.
Printer: Provides a physical paper receipt for both the customer and the merchant, a critical part of transaction records before digital receipts were introduced.
INTERNATIONAL VERIFACT INC PIN Pad: Allows the customer to securely enter their Personal Identification Number (PIN) for debit transactions, ensuring the secure capture of the PIN away from the merchant's view.
NOTE: System Includes all requisite connecting cables between components as well as power supplies for both the credit card reader and printer.
