Description

Circa mid 1980's to Early 2000's

Designed to facilitate the distribution or joining of up to three independent circuits for low-to-moderate voltage applications. Terminals can accommodate several different connection methods:

  • Banana Pugs
  • Spade Connectors.
  • Ring Connectors.

Use Cases:

  • Organization and Maintenance: It acts as a central hub where wires from different sources converge, reducing clutter and making it significantly easier to troubleshoot, repair, or expand the electrical system in the future.

  • Testing and Measurement: The use of standard banana jacks makes it ideal for lab environments or field testing where technicians need to quickly connect and disconnect sensors, power supplies, or measuring instruments like multimeters.

  • Signal Distribution: It can be used to consolidate signals from multiple sensors into a single output or to branch one input signal out to multiple monitoring devices.

  • Educational Demonstrations: Such configurations are frequently found in physics or engineering classrooms for safe, repeatable experiments involving power distribution or circuit logic.
