Designed for the EIAJ-1 (Type 1) standard. The recommended high-grade tape for the following professional/industrial VTRs:

• SONY AV-3600 (available separately): The most common and iconic EIAJ-1 VTR. This is the machine you are most likely to find this tape used with.

• SONY AV-8400: A higher-end EIAJ-1 machine.

• PANASONIC NV-3120 / NV-3020: A very popular competitor to the Sony 3600.

• JVC CR-6060U

• RCA TR-600

• HITACHI VR-10

• Important Note on Playback: The "Silverchrome" formulation, while high-quality, is known to be more abrasive than standard tape. If you attempt to play this tape on a vintage VTR, it is absolutely critical that the machine is in perfect alignment and that the video heads are in good condition. Playing a precious tape on a machine with worn heads is the fastest way to damage both the tape and the machine.
