Use Case:

For telemanagement and alarm monitoring. These devices are solid-state units designed to:

• Capture, filter, and store critical alarms and event data from various telecommunications equipment like telephone systems, voice mail systems, and network elements.

• Buffer events to ensure significant changes are not lost due to communication delays.

• Report alarms and data to a central Network Management System (NMS), such as the IRISnGEN application, allowing for proactive fault detection and correction before issues impact end-users.

• Provide remote access for maintenance and configuration of site equipment via a modem connection.
