Push Button Switch Box with Red Indicator (Custom - Simulated Operation)

Circa Mid 1980's to Late 1990's

A custom manufactured multi-use movie prop. The red LED indicator illuminates whenever the pushbutton is pressed and is powered by an internal battery. Includes 2.5mm (3/32-inch) and 3.5mm (1/8-Inch) jacks. These can be used singularly or in combination for the attachment of other accessories such as:

Radio Transceiver and Public Address Applications:

• Compatible PTT (push-to-talk) Microphones (for use with radio transceivers): Handheld microphones incorporating dual 2.5mm (3/32-inch) and 3.5mm (1/8-Inch) phone plugs can be used. Depressing the microphone key switch causes the red LED to illuminate. In this application, the illuminated indicator signifies signal transmission. This is useful in scenarios where the radio transmission indicator on an on-camera transceiver is not operational or will simply not be visible enough on-screen.

• Compatible Headset With Microphone (for use with radio transceivers): Headsets of this type that possess a 3.5mm (1/8-Inch) phone plug are compatible. In this senario, the operator must push the button on the device to transmit.

• Compatible Handheld Microphones (for public address applications): Handheld microphones incorporating dual 2.5mm (3/32-inch) and 3.5mm (1/8-Inch) phone plugs can control the LED from a small slide-switch integrated into the body of the mic. Microphones that only include the 3.5mm (1/8-Inch) phone plug can also be used, however, the remote operation of the LED indicator is not possible. Pressing the pushbutton on the device itself will still illuminate the LED. Useful in providing on-screen, visual feedback, not normally incorporated into typical public address systems.

Improvised Explosive Devices (IED's):

• Device can be incorporated into a IED device such as a bomb vest to be used as a detonation trigger switch. The included wiring would well integrate with most devices.
