Description
Circa Early 2000's
A custom movie prop manufactured by PROPOLOGY.ca featuring simulated functionality. Designed to portray device that can sequentially detonate up to 8 individual charges.
This is a completely inert replica intended for on-screen motion picture use.
Pratical Features:
- Dual illuminated radio receiver status LED indicators.
- 16-press-release wire connections for detonation wire attachment (2-connections per charge).
Tactical Use Cases:
In real-world military applications, a 24-channel sequencer of this scale would be utilized by Combat Engineers (EOD/Sapper teams) for the following:
- Obstacle & Abatis Clearance: To clear a wide path through reinforced beach obstacles or heavy forest "abatis," charges are set in a precise 24-point chain to ensure all obstructions are neutralized in a single, flowing wave, preventing the lead charge from damaging the subsequent firing circuits.
- Runway & Bridge Denial: Used in "Scorched Earth" tactical withdrawals to systematically destroy a large runway or multi-span bridge. The sequencer ensures that structural supports are taken out in a specific order to cause a complete and irreparable collapse.
- Large-Scale Claymore/Minefield Management: Portrays a central "Control Hub" for a complex defensive perimeter, allowing a single operator to fire 24 individual directional mines in a specific sequence to repel an advancing force from multiple angles.
Civil Use Case:
A device like this represents a Blasting Machine/Sequencer used in large-scale Civil Engineering or Industrial Demolition.
NOTE: A suitable companion piece is the 8-Channel Programmable Radio Detonator Unit (Simulated)—available separately.
