Description

Circa Mid 1990's to Early 2000's

An audio/video accessory designed to relay infrared (IR) remote signals through walls, floors, and other obstructions using radio frequency (RF) technology.

General Description:

This system consists of 2 transmitters and a receiver. The transmitter units captures the IR signal from your standard remote and converts it into an RF signal. This signal is then sent to the receiver unit, which converts it back into an IR signal to control your hidden devices, such as cable boxes, stereos, or DVD players.

Origins and History:

  • Introduced: This system was popular in the mid-to-late 1990s and early 2000s, during the peak of home satellite and multi-room audio-video setups.

  • Significance: It was a pioneering solution for "hidden" home theaters before the widespread adoption of smart home technology or integrated RF remotes. It allowed users to hide bulky equipment in cabinets or separate rooms while maintaining full control.

Included Accessories:

  • AC Power adaptor (3)

(H-cm x W-cm x D-cm)
