Primarily designed for use with SONY Betamax VCRs, dating back to around 1979. It functions as a timer and tuner unit to allow programmable recording of television broadcasts on compatible Betamax recorders.


  • Features a digital clock display and controls for setting recording times (REC TIME), including options for 1H, 2H, and 4H durations.


  • Includes buttons for POWER, MANUAL, TIMER, AM/PM, ON/OFF (for both timer and AFT - Automatic Fine Tuning), indicating its functionalities for both manual operation and programmable timer functions.


  • Unit allows selection of channels through numbered buttons (2-13 visible in the image) and includes an AFT (Automatic Fine Tuning) feature for optimal signal reception.
