Use Case:

Used for a variety of data-intensive, mobile applications across industries such as retail, transportation, logistics, and manufacturing such as:

• Inventory Management: Performing stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory control.

• Order Processing: Entering orders, managing shipping and receiving processes, and tracking packages or baggage.

• Price Management: Conducting shelf price audits and price checks in retail environments.

• Data Collection: It was an intelligent data collection device that could be programmed to guide the user through workflows, check for errors immediately, and collate large volumes of data for later transfer. 

It featured one-handed operation, with the option for an integrated 1D barcode scanner (included). Data could be processed in batch mode (uploaded later via a cradle or cable) or transmitted in real-time using Symbol's Spectrum24 wireless LAN technology.
