An unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Transceiver that enabled the use of standard phone wiring for Ethernet networking.
Use Case:
Allowed the implementation of 10BASE-T Ethernet networks using existing UTP (unshielded twisted pair) phone lines, which was a major innovation at the time. This saved companies from the expense of installing new, dedicated coaxial Ethernet cabling.
