Description

Circa 1989

Designed as a high-performance portable computer, meant to replace a bulkier desktop PC in the office by offering significant mobility and versatility.

It was the first battery-powered computer from Toshiba to feature a VGA plasma display, allowing users to run the new wave of graphics-based applications anywhere they chose.

Compatible with the IBM PC AT standard and supported multitasking operating systems like OS/2 or UNIX, leveraging its powerful processor. It was often used for business applications such as WordPerfect and Lotus software.

Its robust build and expandability made it suitable for various professional tasks, including use as a network analyzer (with an expansion card) or even for police work during the early 1990s.

Note: Near double available—TOSHIBA Laptop Computer Model T3100e/40 (AC powered operation only).
