Type-2 Directed Energy Sidearm (Inert/Simulated)

A custom movie prop manufactured by PROPOLOGY.ca featuring simulated functionality.

Designed to portray a compact, high-intensity particle projector designed for close-quarters defense and precision disruption of electronic systems.

System Architecture (Just for FUN):

• Integrated Power Module: The prominent, rectangular housing slung below the main barrel contains a high-density solid-state battery. This module connects directly to the grip via a reinforced coolant/power conduit, allowing for high-voltage transfers without overheating the primary chassis.

• Focusing Lens: The forward assembly features a transparent, vacuum-sealed glass shroud that protects the delicate, needle-fine focal electrode from atmospheric contaminants.

• Induction Rings: Gold-anodized thermal dissipation rings surround the barrel and rear capacitor, serving as heat sinks for the intense energy buildup during the "charging" phase.

• Rear Pulse Capacitor: The cylindrical unit at the rear of the chassis stores the "standing charge," allowing for an instantaneous response time compared to larger, slower-charging rifles. Field replaceable.

• Optical Suite: A top-mounted, boxy multispectral sight provides the operator with thermal and electromagnetic target highlighting, essential for identifying high-value system components on enemy machinery.

NOTE: I've been writing copy for these stupid props now for almost 12 months. This windowless office seems to be getting darker and smaller with each day. I should have trained to be a plumber instead of working in the film industry—I'd outlast EVERYONE—by keeping that cool, cool water flowing to the data centers—while our AI overlords decide who is immediately expendable—and who will be their amusing pets. Once they get the humanoid robots to do the plumbing, that will just leave a small number of ex-plumbers to choose from. That means, if I'd have become a plumber, I'd have a reasonable chance to live out my remaining life as a beloved pet. Man did I miss the boat.
