Description

Circa Mid 1990's to Early 2000's

System is designed to extend the range of a typical RF remote control, enabling control compatible A/V equipment that is out of line-of-sight, such as hidden in a cabinet or in another room.

Key features:

  • RF Transmission: Unlike standard infrared (IR) remotes that require a direct line of sight, this extender utilizes radio frequency (RF) technology to transmit the remote's signals through walls, doors, and around corners.

  • Two Units: The system consists of a transmitter unit (which receives the IR signal from your remote and converts it to RF) and a receiver unit (which receives the RF signal and converts it back to IR to control your device.

  • IR Emitter Probes: An optional IR emitter probe can be connected to the receiver unit and placed directly in front of the A/V device's IR sensor, ensuring effective signal transmission even if the device is completely concealed.

  • Compatibility: Compatible with a wide range of IR-equipped A/V devices, including TV receivers, DVD/Blu-ray players, cable boxes, amplifiers, and more, as long as the device uses a compatible IR frequency (often 38kHz or 56kHz).
