The POLAROID Macro 5 SLR was designed for professional use by individuals requiring close-up, high-quality instant pictures.  It features through-the-lens viewing, and a choice of five different magnification settings, via the internal turret-lens system.  Applications include:

• Law Enforcement (crime scene documentation)
• Engineering (materials testing and documentation)
• Medical (documentation of physical trauma, pre/post-operative documentation, etc.)
• Forensics (documentation of evidence)
• Manufacturing (quality control documentation)

Although the POLAROID company no longer produces it, three types of high-quality SPECTRA film can still be obtained from The Impossible Project:

POLAROID Spectra film types "1200, "700" and "Image/Spectra, were the most common types purchased by consumers. The rest were geared toward professionals or artists, and were not commonly available.  Genuine POLAROID manufactured instant film is no longer in production.

Additionally, THE IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT's PZ 600 Image/Spectra, PZ 600 UV + Image/Spectra, PZ 680 Color Shade, PZ 600 Silver Shade Cool, are out of production at the time of this writing.

Currently, the only film available are THE IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT's "Color Image Spectra" and "B & W" Image Spectra" (only the color version is depicted here).  

Please note that most of the film types depicted here are no longer being manufactured, with the exception of the last three IMPOSSIBLE FILM PROJECT types:
