Description
Circa 1982
Uses a 9-pin D-sub (DB9) connector, which was a common standard in the early 1980s. However, its internal wiring is unique, making it largely incompatible with modern computers or other vintage systems without specialized adapters:
- Vision-Daptor: A specialized USB interface specifically designed for ColecoVision and Intellivision controllers. It is recognized as a standard plug-and-play HID device and supports the full 12-button keypad.
- iCode Duo USB Adapter: A multi-port adapter that supports ColecoVision joysticks and keypads for use with Windows, Mac, Linux, and MiSTer FPGA.
- Ultimate Classic Joystick to USB: Some hobbyists use DIY Arduino-based projects to convert the 9-pin signal to USB.
