Description

Circa Mid 1960's to Early1980's (ESTIMATED)

An unidentified piece of custom or highly specialized electronic control equipment, possibly a piece of scientific test equipment. Its exact function and manufacturer unknown. Can be equipment rack or console mounted.

Possible Use Cases:

The numerous analog meters, switches, and precise potentiometers suggest it was likely used for detailed, manual control and monitoring of experimental or specialized industrial processes. The unit has two distinct channels (indicated by "DUO CONTROL UNIT"), each with voltage/signal meters and range selectors. Potential applications include:

  • Scientific Experimentation: Used in a university laboratory for precise control of electrical signals, temperature, or flow in an experiment.

  • Custom Test Rig: Part of a diagnostic setup for a bespoke piece of hardware, such as particle physics equipment, where precise adjustments were necessary.

  • Early Data Acquisition Interface: A manual interface for analog signals before modern digital interfaces became common.

NOTE: Cosmetically similar to a RI Control Unit, which is available separately.
