Proposed Stencil Design
This prop was to portray a multichannel, radio controlled, detonation device. It was to be attached to the top of a 40 gallon drum of "RDX explosive" with detonation wires connected to 2 other adjacent "RDX" drums. The numerous remaining detonation wires were to be spread out away from the detonator unit to suggest that they were connected to dozens of other unseen bomb/drums.
To make it more practical for the on-set crew to work with, only the first 3" of each steel drum was provided. With some soil dressed around the perimeter, they would seem almost completely buried, without the actual effort to bury an entire 40 gallon drum.
