To be clear, Propology had nothing to do with the production of "hero" version of this prop.
I was asked by a client to produce 5-non-functional replicas of this scanner for use on-set, in the deep-background.
It's so beautiful however, that I just had to share the photographs I'd taken of it that were used to produce the graphics for the dummy versions I'd made.
These units feature an operational "POWER" LED indicator and a backlitanalogue meter. The meter's needle position is fully controllable from off-camera,via a cabled remote control. 2-units are available.
This prop features a motorized specimen-chamber fabricated from aluminum and stainless-steel,as well as several user-triggered, sequentially controlled,LED indicators. Lots of fun to build!
